East Tawas State Dock Camera View


Overview

The Tawas Bay Webcam is located in northeast Michigan on the shore of Tawas Bay, approximately 2.4 nautical miles north of Buoy Number 2, ¼ mile east of the East Tawas State Dock, and about 15 feet above ground level.

The East Tawas State Dock camera is a Canon VB-C60 pan/tilt/zoom IP camera that was put into service in December of 2011 and is pointed in a westerly direction. This camera can be controlled remotely by visitors to the website, using the internal camera viewer software. The East Tawas State Dock camera has a 40x optical zoom and can display a picture in 160x120, 320x240 or 640x480 resolution. Frame rates for the video stream will depend on the visitor's internet connection speed and the number of people viewing the stream simultaneously. Note: some firewalls may block access to this camera. One visitor at a time may control the camera for 2 minutes. Instructions for operating the viewer are HERE.
